Now Morgan was a Captain, lad
His whiskey quick and his temper bad
And of the crew I'd like to add
Had found his smell amiss

He put upon each shirtless back
A biting and a mournful whack
If e'er the crew began to slack
And think of their lass to kiss

But Morgan, he would find his love
In salted pig or turtle dove
But the cook ignored his push and shove
For at sea there is only fish

Then Morgan in a grumpy rage
Stormed off into the Captain's cage
And in his bed he read a page
From his lass to dispell the dish

They waited till he slept in dream
His girl by waiting the silent stream
The faces of the crew all gleamed
As they gathered around his bed

His dreams turned to a bitter fate
He tossed and turned when night was late
And with a pipe-filled piece of bait
They smote him in the head

To rid them of their aweful woes
The cook awoke and sprang to his toes
With Morgan all the crew arose
To begin their daily due

But for the feasting of the night
A bell rang high at first candle's light
The galley was a splended sight
As their laughs began anew

The cook has slaved away like sin
As all the clouds beagan to spin
A joy ran through the noisy den
For the Captain weren't alone

The main course he had been made to
And on the side a carrot stew
So eaten to the stick and cue
There was naught left but the bone

Now take heed all you sailors young
For of this story you'll be sung
If you decide to take a rung
And follow what Morgan did

And twice to you who tear at meat
If it's the crew you love to beat
Be certain that they'll decide to eat
When you lose the gambling bid

But Morgan he was never found
And all the crew said not a sound
So on the hill they raised a mound
Then put to his tomb a stone

There on the rock they forward claim
That none shall ever curse the name
Be he of Pirate, blind, or lame
A Captain's good through flesh to bone

Not exactly the verse direction I had intended to use, but the best thought comes in the shower- paper, however, does not.

I love ballads. They're fun. And cannibalistic. Or maybe that's just pirates. Pirates are notorious for being a bit savage every now and again. Sometimes you just get angry and need to eat someone.

[Note: The name "Morgan" was not intended to be a reference to Sir Morgan, the historical pirate, nor Captain Morgan, the brew. It was merely the first name that came to my head, and as many will know, once you have a name it's hard to change it because that name embodies all the traits you have given it.

I am currently searching for another name for Mr. Morgan, and would prefer to keep the alliteration. If you have any suggestions, don't hesitate to comment.]

I break for faeries, elves, gnomes, leprechauns, and other invisible creatures that only I can see.
Did you honestly come up with that whole storyline? Genious! Morbid and disgusting as needed, but genious!

This is what I find to be:
That I am weary of words and people
Sick of the city, wanting the sea.
Yay!^^ Although, I'm afraid that love won't last long. He's a little eaten.
